Intermediate level cooking classes are the perfect experience if you are looking to expand your knowledge and expertise in cooking techniques such as roasting, boiling and braising. Classes will introduce important skills like stir fry and searing. Intermediate classes include topics such as food photography, homemade pasta, healthy food cooking and international cuisine.

  • Culinary Skills Series: Fish and Shellfish

    Back to basics. Participants in this informative series will learn the various methods of cooking; sauté, stir fry, searing, poaching, boiling, steaming, grilling, roasting and braising. Learning when and how to properly use these methods and understanding the differences between them will dramatically increase your cooking repertoire and confidence. You will learn the variety of equipment used for each method, recipes, and the proper preparation of product. Participants will also be trained in food and kitchen safety. Participants are encouraged to attend all classes within the Culinary Skills Series.

    Sharpen your photography and recipe-writing skills to make your blog posts more popular.  In this one-day session, you'll work with professional food photographer Eric Futran to learn what makes great food photography - the angles, the focus, the lighting.everything.  Then you'll head into the studio get some hands-on practice in shooting your own photographs, with helpful feedback.  Next, you'll discover how to write recipes that work with writer and recipe developer Tom O'Brien.  You'll learn about the basic parts of a recipe, discuss recipe testing techniques, develop your own style sheet and get the lowdown on the "must-have" tools for recipe writing.  If you're a blogger (or even if you just want to learn how to make your recipes look and read better), you won't want to miss this!

  • Culinary Skills Multi-day Boot Camp

    This multi-day boot camp will teach you the fundamentals of cooking. The techniques taught by our professional Kendall chefs will build upon your cooking repertoire by teaching you how to make every recipe with a dash of your own style.    Day One: Knife Skills, Stocks, Soups, Sauces and Vinaigrette, and Grilling. Day Two: Intro to Spices and Herbs, Braising, Stewing, Poaching, Roasting, Sautéing and Desserts.  NOTE: This is a hands-on two-day class.  Each day class begins at 10:00am - 4:00pm.
